Carl Hazlewood, born in Guyana, lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He holds a BFA from Pratt Institute and an MA in Fine Arts from Hunter College.Hazlewood’s works have been shown in numerous exhibitions. He is represented in the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans, LA, OMI International Art Center, Ghent, NY, The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, New York, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, New York, and elsewhere. He is co-founder of the non-profit Aljira, a center for contemporary art and underrepresented artists, in Newark, NJ.
