Chilean artist, poet, activist, and filmmaker Cecilia Vicuña (b. 1948, Santiago), has been based in New York for the last forty years. The Guggenheim Museum in New York celebrated her work in 2022 with “Cecilia Vicuña: Spin Spin Triangulene,” a retrospective of her visual art. Her voice is heard in the curation; the storytelling in wall text for each piece; and the insertion, between two phases of her work, of a group of the Guggenheim’s Kandinsky paintings which she cited as an influence. https://www.guggenheim.org/exhibition/cecilia-vicuna-spin-spin-triangulene
