Pat Phillips (b. 1987), from Louisiana, now lives and works in Philadelphia, PA. His work was featured in the 2019 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY. His PPOW solo exhibit “It Was Sunny, but Then It Started to Rain” took place in 2024. He has presented solos at Jeffrey Deitch, New York, NY and at galleries around the US. Phillips participated in residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, and in 2017, received a Joan Mitchell Painters & Sculptors Grant. His work can be found in the collections of the Whitney and numerous museums nationally. His first monographic book was published in 2023.
